A plain white powder room on the Upper West Side turned into a dark, enveloping jewel box. The ceiling, door and trim were primed and painted a deep dark color, then a large-scale botanical wallpaper was hung on the walls — a small room made unforgettable.
All-Black Lounge Room With a Wood Slat Accent Wall in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn
A bright white spare room in Bedford-Stuyvesant became a dark, moody lounge. Repair Asap masked off the whole room — including a closet full of clothes — then painted the ceiling, walls, baseboards and doors black in two finishes, and finished one wall with warm wood slat panels.
Chess-Pattern Painted Floor in Baldwin, Long Island
A stained wood floor had already been painted into a chess pattern once, but the homeowner wasn't happy with the result. Repair Asap taped out a fresh diagonal diamond grid, painted it in two coats, and sealed the finish with a two-coat epoxy-based polyurethane topcoat over four visits.
Entry Door and Frame Replacement in Staten Island
A tired rear entry had an old aluminum storm door and a glass-insert door hung in a worn frame. Repair Asap removed both doors and the frame, set a new prehung entry door plumb and level, installed a single lock, capped the unused second lock hole, and sealed the perimeter with spray foam in about three and a half hours. A new storm door was installed over it afterward, with its own lock and an automatic closer.
One-Bedroom Apartment Turnover in Flatlands, Brooklyn
A tired one-bedroom rental in Flatlands, Brooklyn was made move-in ready between tenants. Repair Asap repainted the apartment, refinished hardwood floors, refreshed the bathroom, repaired window sills and trim, and installed new hallway flooring in about five days.
