Repair ASAP LLC installs home theaters in NYC apartments and houses as one low-voltage job: the projector goes on the ceiling at the right throw distance, the screen on the wall or in the ceiling, the HDMI and speaker wire into paintable raceway or along the baseboard, the speakers where the plan puts them, and the receiver is hooked up and calibrated before we leave. Nothing touches the building's wiring — every piece plugs into an outlet you already have. The Home Theater Bundle, Step by Step
Projector Ceiling Mount
Into the joists or with the right anchor for a drywall, drop or concrete ceiling, at the throw distance the projector and screen need. Our projector installation page has the mount-only prices.
Surface, Tab-Tensioned or Recessed Screen
A fixed-frame, pull-down or motorized screen on the wall or ceiling, or a recessed in-ceiling housing with its cutout, blocking, limits, patch and prime. Screen-only prices are on the projector screen page.
HDMI & Speaker Wire, Hidden
HDMI in a paintable surface raceway (about 15 ft in HT-1); speaker wire in raceway or along the baseboard. Low-voltage cables only.
Up to 5.1 Surface Speakers
Front, center, surrounds and the subwoofer placed, mounted where the plan calls for it and wired to the receiver (HT-2).
Receiver Hookup & Auto-Calibration
Sources into the receiver, the receiver to the projector, then the room-correction run and a picture alignment check before we leave.
One Visit, One Team
The mount, the screen, the cables and the setup are planned together, so the projector lands where the screen is and the cables run where the outlets are.
What Is Not Included
No Electrical Work
Everything plugs into existing outlets. A new or relocated outlet, an in-wall power kit, a hardwired screen and any connection to lighting or HVAC controls are done by a NYC Licensed Master Electrician. No holes through fire-rated walls or ceilings.
Equipment Is Separate
The projector, screen, receiver, speakers, mounts, cables and paint are yours, or picked up at cost after you approve. The bundle prices are labor.
In-Wall Speakers: Per Point
An in-wall or in-ceiling speaker cut-in (non-rated drywall, cut-in, patch and prime) is $250–$425 per point from your photos, on top of the bundle.
7.1, Atmos & Dedicated Rooms: Photo Quote
Systems above 5.1, Atmos height channels and dedicated theater rooms are quoted from photos and a room plan, not from the calculator.
Know the Cost Before Work Starts
1. Free Photo Estimate

2. $495–$2,500 Per Bundle, Labor
HT-1 (projector ceiling mount + surface screen + HDMI in raceway + alignment) is $495–$795. HT-2 adds up to 5.1 surface speakers, speaker wire, the receiver hookup and auto-calibration: $1,150–$1,950 with a tab-tensioned screen, $1,500–$2,500 with a recessed in-ceiling screen. An extra surface raceway run of about 6 ft is $45–$75 each.
3. $99 On-Site Assessment
If photos are not enough, we measure the room on site. The $99 (plus sales tax) is credited toward approved work done within 30 days — longer when agreed in writing in advance.
4. $150 Work Minimum
The $150 work minimum is the site-wide floor for work performed on a visit, not a charge on top of the bundle. Prices are plus NY sales tax where applicable.

How much does home theater installation cost in NYC?
The bundles run $495–$2,500 for labor. HT-1 — projector ceiling mount, a surface-mounted screen, HDMI in a paintable raceway (about 15 ft) and alignment — is $495–$795. Equipment is not included. There is a $150 work minimum, and prices are plus NY sales tax where applicable. Do you add an outlet for the projector or the screen?
No. Everything plugs into outlets you already have. A new or relocated outlet, an in-wall power kit, a hardwired motorized screen and any tie-in to lighting or HVAC controls are electrical work done by a NYC Licensed Master Electrician, and no holes are made through fire-rated walls or ceilings. Send a photo of the ceiling and the nearest outlets and we will tell you whether the plan works with the outlets you have.
Can you put the speakers in the wall or ceiling?
Surface speakers are part of HT-2. In-wall or in-ceiling speaker cut-ins in non-rated drywall — the cut-in, the patch and the prime — are $250–$425 per point from your photos, on top of the bundle. 7.1 and up, Atmos layouts and dedicated theater rooms are quoted from photos rather than from the calculator.

No. The projector, screen, receiver, speakers, mounts, cables and paint are yours, or picked up at cost after you approve. The bundle prices are labor for the install, the cable routing and the setup.
What should I send for a quote?
A photo of the ceiling and the wall the screen goes on, the room's length and width, the projector and screen models (or links), where the outlets are, and whether the ceiling is drywall, drop or concrete. For HT-2, add where the receiver sits and how many speakers you have.
