Gas dryers are Licensed Master Plumber work under Local Law 142 of 2025, and cord kits, new outlets or any 240V work are done by a NYC Licensed Master Electrician. For co-ops and condos, send building rules before the appointment if they require COI paperwork, elevator reservations or working-hour limits.

What May Cost Extra
Stacking hardware, new hoses, vent parts, drain pans, haul-away, tight-access labor, and a second technician are quoted separately. Gas dryers, new or replaced valves and drains, cord kits, new outlets and any 240V work are done by a NYC Licensed Master Plumber or Licensed Master Electrician.
What Must Be Ready Before Arrival
Have both model numbers and manufacturer kits on site. Clear the path and laundry area, make the existing valves, drain, outlet and vent accessible, and send building or COI rules before arrival.

How much does washer/dryer installation cost in NYC?

Can you stack my washer and dryer?
Yes, when the washer, dryer, stacking kit, closet clearance, weight rating, anti-vibration setup, and building rules are compatible. Send the model numbers and a clear closet photo before booking.
Do you connect to existing water and drain lines?
Yes: hoses from the existing washer valves and the drain hose into the existing standpipe or drain, then a leak test. A new or replaced valve, a drain extension or any new supply line is done by a NYC Licensed Master Plumber.
Can you install a gas dryer?
No. Under Local Law 142 of 2025, replacing or connecting a gas dryer is Licensed Master Plumber work, so we install electric dryers only, and only when the dryer's cord already matches the existing receptacle.
What should I send for the fastest washer/dryer quote?

Can you haul away the old machines?
We disconnect and move old electric units out of the way when access is safe. Hauling and disposal are confirmed during quote review.
