Every installation includes old unit removal (if applicable), secure mounting, the vent connection, a check of the existing outlet, and a full function test when the cabinet, wall and vent path fit. Hardwired units are declined on site: a hardwired connection or a new outlet is done by a NYC Licensed Master Electrician.

What May Cost Extra
Haul-away, a new bracket or trim kit, cabinet reinforcement or cutting, vent-transition parts, and difficult access are quoted separately. Hardwired units, new outlets and circuits are done by a NYC Licensed Master Electrician.
What Must Be Ready Before Arrival
Have the microwave, manufacturer template, bracket, hardware, and trim kit available. Clear the cooking area, provide opening measurements plus photos of the existing outlet and vent path, and share any building or COI requirements before arrival.

Every job is quoted and approved before work starts — no surprises. After a $99 assessment, a $150 job means you pay the $51 difference. Prices are plus NY sales tax where applicable.

How much does microwave installation cost?
Pricing depends on the type: over-the-range units need compatible mounting hardware, cabinet or wall support and a vent path, while built-in trim kits are usually simpler. The calculator on this page shows each range; there is a $150 work minimum, and prices are plus NY sales tax where applicable.
Do you install hardwired microwaves?
No. We install plug-in models on an existing receptacle. If the unit turns out to be hardwired, we decline that part on site; the connection is made by a NYC Licensed Master Electrician.
Do you remove the old microwave?
We can unplug, unmount, and move the existing unit when access is safe and it is a plug-in model.
Can you install an over-the-range microwave where there wasn't one?
Often, if the cabinet, wall and vent path fit and there is already a receptacle in the cabinet above. A new outlet or wiring is done by a NYC Licensed Master Electrician.
