When it's not a handyman job
- Gas dryers — replacing or connecting one — are Licensed Master Plumber work under Local Law 142 of 2025, not ours. Cord kits, new outlets and any 240V work are done by a NYC Licensed Master Electrician, and new valves, drains or supply lines by a NYC Licensed Master Plumber.
How the assessment visit and the work minimum are priced

If the job needs eyes on site first, the assessment visit is $99 plus sales tax and is credited toward approved work done within 30 days — longer when agreed in writing in advance. There is a $150 work minimum. After a $99 assessment, a $150 job means you pay the $51 difference plus tax. Yes — all-in-one and ventless units are on the list; the drain and power connection are reviewed from photos first.
Do I need a stacking kit?
Most stacked sets do, and it is model-specific. Send both model numbers and we confirm the right kit.
Can you hook up a gas dryer?
No. Under Local Law 142 of 2025, replacing or connecting a gas dryer is Licensed Master Plumber work, so we do not take gas dryer jobs.
