We install inside-mount and outside-mount blinds and shades, replace brackets that are stripped or missing, and take down whatever the last tenant left up. Custom-size and cut-to-width products are fine as long as they are on site when we arrive. If something will not physically fit the opening, you hear it before you buy the wrong thing twice.

Before anything gets drilled we check window depth, bracket position, frame material, and screw length, because a bracket biting into paint alone will sag within a month. Prewar plaster, steel casement frames, and tiled bathroom windows each need a different anchor. That check is the difference between a blind you forget about and a row of holes to patch later.

Measure the opening at the top, middle, and bottom and send the narrowest of the three, or send a photo with a tape measure in the frame so we can sanity-check it. Good numbers mean we arrive with the right anchors and usually finish in one visit. Guessed numbers mean a second trip for hardware.

Motorized and custom-size blinds need the product instructions sent over too, since bracket spacing and power requirements vary more than most people expect. We install battery-powered and compatible smart blinds, including Hunter Douglas-style remote setups. Anything that needs new wiring or a hardwired power feed goes to a licensed electrical contractor, and you hear that before you book rather than on the day.

Move-ins, nursery setups, rental turnovers, and office refreshes are the usual reasons people call. The nursery is the one worth getting right: blackout only works when the shade seals against the frame, which often means an outside mount with extra coverage at the sides. One window is fine, and so is the whole apartment. When measurements, products, hardware, and building access are all ready, a full set often goes up in a single visit, and grouping the windows keeps bracket heights and finished lines consistent from room to room. In co-ops and doorman buildings, tell us early if the board wants a certificate of insurance; we are insured and can send one ahead of the visit.
