Gas appliances are not serviced: under Local Law 142 of 2025, repairing, replacing or connecting a gas range, oven, stove or dryer is NYC Licensed Master Plumber work. New plumbing lines and valve or drain changes are done by a NYC Licensed Master Plumber, and new circuits, outlets, cord kits and hardwired changes by a NYC Licensed Master Electrician. Sealed-system refrigerator work, refrigerant, compressor replacement, board-level electronics and commercial refrigerant work need a manufacturer-authorized company, an EPA Section 608 certified technician or a specialized appliance technician. We flag all of that before scheduling.

Do you repair appliances in NYC?

Refrigerant, compressor and sealed-system work goes to an EPA Section 608 certified technician or the manufacturer, and warranty-authorized service to the manufacturer's network. Gas, electrical and plumbing work is done by a NYC Licensed Master Plumber or a NYC Licensed Master Electrician, not by Repair ASAP.
Can you install a replacement appliance?
Yes. We can quote compatible replacement installation for plug-in and cord-connected dishwashers, washers, refrigerators and microwaves, and for electric dryers and ranges whose cord already matches the existing receptacle, when the existing valves, drain, venting, outlet, access and building rules fit. Gas appliances are not installed.
What should I send before booking?
