Drywall is priced by the size and type of damage: a handful of nail holes, a doorknob hole, a large patch that needs new board, a recurring crack, water-damaged board or a texture blend. We patch, tape, sand and prime it paint-ready, blending texture where we can. Prices are labor and standard patching materials; painting is its own line.

What drives the price
- Hole size: anything larger than a fist needs a backed patch or new board.
- Cracks: a crack that returns is usually movement; the fix is taping and skimming, not filling.
- Water damage: the board has to be dry and the source fixed before repair.
- Texture: orange peel, knockdown and smooth can usually be blended closely, but the final match depends on the existing texture, paint age and lighting.
- Plaster walls: pre-war plaster repairs are quoted from photos, not by the same rules as drywall.
What's included
- Patch, tape and compound
- Sanding and priming so the area is paint-ready
- Texture blending where the existing finish allows
What's quoted separately
- Painting the repaired wall — included only where a tier says so (with your paint); otherwise quoted as a painting line
- Replacing large sections of board
- Fixing the leak or moisture source behind water damage
When it's not a handyman job
- Water damage with an active leak is a plumbing problem first — we repair the wall after the source is fixed.

Frequently asked questions
Will the patch be invisible?
Smooth walls blend very well after paint. Textured walls come close; the final match depends on texture, paint age and lighting.
Do you paint the patch?
Priming is included; painting is quoted as a painting line so the whole wall matches.
Can you repair plaster walls?
Yes, quoted from photos — pre-war plaster behaves differently from drywall.
How many holes count as small?
Nail and screw holes are grouped; a doorknob-size hole is its own line in the table.
